Party Animal is an experimental short film created as the senior capstone project of filmmaker Kurt Danner and myself at Loyola University Chicago. I served as both Director, Producer, and Editor, overseeing the project from development through production.
The film follows a shy young man who, feeling out of place at a costume party, takes LSD and begins to move through an increasingly fluid and surreal landscape where the boundaries between the party and his subconscious begin to blur. Blending experimental visual storytelling with psychological exploration, Party Animal uses the heightened perspective of its protagonist to explore isolation, self-consciousness, and the desire to connect.
